Cucumber seeds – start your cucumber production
Cucumbers are a popular vegetable in the greenhouse or kitchen garden that thrives best in warm, moist soil. With the right seeds, you will get early germination, strong plants and a stable yield throughout the growing season.
How to grow cucumbers
For optimal growth, cucumber seeds should be sown in loose, nutrient-rich soil and kept evenly moist. The seeds germinate best at temperatures between 20–25 °C. Once the plants are established, it is important to give them space to grow upwards using trellises or climbing supports, which promotes fruit development and air circulation.
The plants can be put in the greenhouse when the night temperature is above 8 degrees.
Tips for care and harvesting
Cucumbers require regular watering, but avoid flooding as the root collar cannot tolerate standing water. Fertilize regularly to ensure vigorous plants and large fruits. Harvest cucumbers regularly to encourage continued fruiting.
