Spinach – An important and nutritious vegetable

Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is known for its dark green, nutritious leaves that can be harvested multiple times throughout the season. The leaves are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, making spinach a popular ingredient in salads, smoothies and hot dishes.

Our seed range ensures both high germination and uniform plants that are well suited to Danish soil and climate.

How to grow spinach from seeds

Spinach seeds can be sown directly outdoors or in planting trays in early spring, as soon as the soil can be worked. For optimal growth, sun to light shade and well-drained, nutrient-rich soil are required. Keep the soil moist during germination, and thin out the rows to allow the plants to develop wide, healthy leaves. With proper care, spinach can be harvested continuously for several weeks.

Spinach seeds can be sown several times during the season, providing a much longer harvest period and fresh spinach all summer long.
