Roses for shade in this group are mostly alba roses. Originally all the flowers were white, but there are also varieties with pink flower colors. Characteristic of all alba roses is that they are very hardy and can grow well in exposed places. Even if the rose does not get much sun, it can grow in the garden on the north side of the house.
Alba roses bloom in June-July, some roses bloom again later in the summer. All have a wonderful fragrance. We prune the Alba rose right after flowering.
