Astrantia or star umbel is a perfect partner for roses. The colors range from a completely neutral greenish white to white, pink, red and burgundy. Star umbel likes to grow in nutrient-rich soil like roses and if you remove wilted flowers they will bloom almost as long as the roses. Astrantia has a lot of leaves at the bottom and long thin and stiff stems. Perfect both between roses and for rose bouquets.
